Cycle route Four beers in Zuid-Holland
Lisse, Katwijk, Leiden
It is by no means a punishment, this route of over 120 kilometres through rural and water-rich Zuid-Holland, passing four small breweries that brew their own craft beers with passion. You will pass by Klein Duimpje Brewery in Hillegom where, besides tasting the beers, you can also take a tour of the brewery. The brewer will show you how this delicious beer is created, after which you can taste it on the terrace in fine weather, of course! At Brewery de Molen in Bodegraven, they like to experiment with different ingredients. Every 6 weeks they try something new, resulting in surprisingly delicious beer! In 2014, the first beer was actually sold in the beer shop by the brewer at Brewery Kraan. In this shop, you will find many different special beers. Take some goodies home or buy your unique gift packages here. Brewery Pronck was also founded In 2014, by a group of friends, to passionately create delicious beer with honest ingredients here. The brewery can be visited by appointment. Even if you have to pass the occasional stretch of motorway: by far the largest part goes through the beautiful landscape of South Holland. Be surprised by nature, polders, water and beautiful views. And by the beer, of course. If you find this route a bit too long for one day, book an overnight stay in a hotel or bring a tent and find a nice spot to spread your route over two or more days.
