This rural cycle route takes you past beautiful Dutch landscapes with water, meadows and windmills. Cycle around the Alkmaardermeer, which is also known as Akerslotermeer, het Lange meer or Langemeer. The lake is a wonderful place where many water recreationists enjoy themselves on, in or with the water. In this area, you will also find other water recreationists. Get off your bike at the bird observatory at the Kerkemeertje and spot various (water) birds. Get on your bike at the Alkmaardersmeer and enjoy the view along the water.
