Jump on dy fyts, as a true Frisian would say. Explore Ljouwert, Friesland's capital, for the Fryske Belibbing (experience). The cultural capital has many surprises in store for you. Put your bike aside and get lost in the cosy streets, squares and between the canals; you will be surprised at every street corner. The leaning tower, murals and bays await you. For the real Frisian experience, visit the Fries Museum and find out about Frisian culture and history through its stories and works of art. Some Frisians believe that the inhabitants of Leeuwarden are too urban. So we'd like to take you outside the city for even more Fryske belibbing. After a taste at the Nature Museum, it's time for real Frisian nature. Get off at Recreatiegebied de Groene Ster, for example, for a relaxing moment or a refreshing dip in the water. A little further on you have another lovely spot: the Vijverpark. In the historic part of the park, which was laid out in the nineteenth century, you will find Huize Vijversburg. Continue the route through the typical Frisian landscape. Past meadows, ditches, lakes and breathtaking viewpoints. The landscape is occasionally interspersed with a picturesque Frisian village and don't forget, here you greet each other. No, no 'Oant moarn', but 'Goeie dei'.
