The towns of Diepenheim and Lochem are central to this cycle route. The surroundings are mysterious and there are all kinds of stories to discover and unravel. As you cycle through nature, via the Lochemse Berg towards Lochem, you pass the Witte Wieven. At least, if they are there, you never know! Cross the Twente Canal and you come out in artists' town Diepenheim. This is where artists tell their stories through the most beautiful paintings and exhibitions. Even outside, you can enjoy their creations, such as in the extraordinary Gazebo and the Three gardens of vries. Diepenheim also boasts a number of beautiful estates with imposing mansions and manor houses. Enjoy the country estates, lanes with tall trees and farms. Streams like the Bolksebeek and river Berkel flow through the otherwise deep-green landscape. After this cycle route, you are guaranteed to have some great stories to tell!
