If you are looking for a wonderful, active way to spend your free time, the Loonse and Drunense Dunes are a great option. It is a beautiful area where you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings, beautiful nature and many interesting sights. The Loonse and Drunense Dunes consist of about 270 acres of sandy plains. It is a unique landscape that you cannot find in many places in the Netherlands. If you come here for a bike ride, you can enjoy this unique nature park. During this route you will pass, among other things, De Kerkhovense Molen, an old mill built in 1895. You can admire the mill here, but also relax among the trees. You will also pass Nature Gate Klein Oisterwijk, with an educational center nearby. Here you can learn a lot about nature in the area, and you can also enjoy a lovely walk through the beautiful forest. Then also get off at Natuurpoort Nemelaer, where you have a beautiful view of the dunes. Here you can enjoy the tranquility while listening to the birds and the wind blowing through the forest. After this quiet stopover, we will continue to Castle Nemelaer. This is an impressive castle dating back to the 14th century. Here you can enjoy the beautiful views in the area or take beautiful pictures of the castle. When cycling the Loonse and Drunense Dunes, you can enjoy the tranquility and beautiful nature. It is an area full of interesting sights, including De Kerkhovense Molen, Natuurpoort Klein Oisterwijk, Natuurpoort Nemelaer and Kasteel Nemelaer. This is a great way to spend your free time and discover a new environment. A fun activity to enjoy being outside, keep you fit ánd clear your head.
