Noordwijk, Leiden, Kaag
With this cycle route you no longer have to choose whether you want to cycle along the coast, through the polders or along inland waterways. We put all these options in one cycling route for you! Cycle via Stadspark De Leidse Hout to the Boterhuispolder and the Broek- and Simontjespolder. Discover the different mills here that keep these polders dry. Slightly less dry are the beautiful Kagerplassen; the oldest water sports area in the Netherlands with picturesque views. From the fresh waters and the polders you cycle, via Noordwijk, towards the coast where you can cycle through the dunes for a while. Along the way you pass the fishing village and well-known seaside resort of Katwijk. Let out the child in you in the play forest Panbos and end your bike ride wherever you started it. So much natural beauty in one route in the Randstad, who would have thought that.
