Enjoyment with a capital G! That, in short, is what this cycle route from Rijssen to Raalte brings you. Enjoy the beautiful rich nature of National Park De Sallandse Heuvelrug in the heart of Overijssel, which was formed in the penultimate ice age, when a huge mass of ice pushed the ground aside and 16 hills with magical views were formed. You'll brave some of those hills with this cycle route.

For instance, you cycle over the Holterberg, the area around the Haarleberg and the Sprengenberg. You will find many moors, sand drifts, a sea of rhododendrons and forests. If you're lucky, you'll spot a roe deer, fox or badger on your trip. The wolf has been spotted several times and almost eighty different species of birds breed in this area.
