The name of this village is derived from the Keutelbeek, which flows through the centre. Beek has even discovered remains of a village settlement dating back to 500 BC, giving the village an extra historical dimension during your trip.
Along the way, you can visit several historical sights. These include Doenrade Castle, which has existed since 1117.
