Saint-Anthonis (Sint Tunnis in the vernacular) has been around for a few years. Did you know that the Roman road between Noviomagus and Mosa Traiectum used to run here? Nowadays better known as Nijmegen and Maastricht. Research shows that some residents in this region still have Roman blood in their veins.
Enjoy the lush forests around Sint Anthonis and also discover the Beestenveld. Here you will find a bird hide where you can spot as many as 80 different bird species! Listen to the singing and admire the colourful feathers of these winged friends.
During your bike ride, you will also pass the imposing Sint-Wilibrorduskerk in Milheeze and Oploo's atmospheric watermill. These cultural sights add even more charm to the route. Step off, admire the architecture and enjoy the serene surroundings.
