Be transported to prehistoric times on this unique cycle route. Discover breathtaking natural areas and historical gems as you pedal around. This route not only takes you through Limburg, but also briefly takes you to Germany and Belgium. Where you cycle now, millions of years ago was a sea. This Cretaceous sea is now the nutritious ground of the various forests where you can take a break.
During this cycle route you will pass by some fascinating places. One is the famous Drielandenpunt, where the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany meet. Look out here over the 3 bordering countries.
The route also takes you through the beautiful Aachener Wald, a magnificent forest area in Germany. Here you can completely unwind as you cycle among the imposing trees. The Aachener Wald is an ancient forest which is also called one of the three-country forests.
