Almen, Vorden, Lochem

Almen, Lochem, Ruurlo and Vorden are scattered throughout the beautiful surroundings of Eastern Gelderland: the Achterhoek. Head out by bike and enjoy quiet forests, vast fields, fairytale castles and meandering rivers. With every turn you take, you will discover something new!

If you cycle through Almen, pay a visit to the pretty village square with its old lime trees. The church, school, master's house and village hall create a cosy atmosphere.

Along the way, you can interrupt your cycling tour for some nice sights. For example, you will come across Staring's romantic Dome, admire the historic Warken Mill or the impressive St Gudula Church in Lochem.

Cycle over the Lochemse Berg and look out over the rolling landscape, coarse pines and majestic beech trees. Besides beautiful nature, you will also dive into a bit of history during this cycle route. For around Vorden you will find many castles, houses and country houses. Not all castles can be viewed from the inside, but from the outside they are also really beautiful.
