Apart from the coast with its extensive sandy beaches, the hinterland in this region is also very beautiful to cycle through. On the Belgian border lies the Het Zwin nature reserve, which consists of a slough with polder landscape. It is an area par excellence where many birds and plants can be found. But there is more nature to admire along the way.

You will cycle along the Verdronken Zwarte Polder and De Knokkert, also known as the Forest of Erasmus. Both are unique areas where special animal species occur. Stop for a moment and enjoy the peace and quiet around you: you will only hear the birds. From the polders and the nature reserves, you cycle further along the North Sea. You cycle through the dunes while you look out over the sandy beaches and breathe in the salty air. A route full of variety!
