The years that shaped him and in which he searched for his own signature. Despite the fact that the man previously belonged to the posh avant-garde and did not exactly exude rock&roll, he had a lifelong connection with Winterswijk.

The fortified town of Groenlo is also a great place to get off your bike for a while. Visit the creepy dungeons under Groenlo's town hall, or stay above ground and take a good look around, you might just find a live (rock) band performing.
