Cycle route Left of Tilburg
Tilburg, Oosterhout, Gilze
Take a beautiful cycle route on the west side of Tilburg. You cycle from Oosterhout to the Loonse and Drunense Dunes, a beautiful sand drift. From the watchtower, you can overlook the whole area.
En route, you'll take in a bit of nature reserve Huis ter Heide, where you'll enjoy vast forests, fens and heathland.
Swap nature for an ancient and a modern city park on Tilburg's left, the Oude Warande and the Spoorpark. The Oude Warande was laid out in the 18th century as a French Garden. You'll admire various tree species and might even see a Siberian ground squirrel hopping by. The Railway Park, on the other hand, is a contemporary relaxation spot with sleek lawns, water and shady trees. Both parks are lovely stepping-off points to stretch your legs.
Via Gilze, you cycle through De Leemputten. This piece of nature is unique thanks to its many fens and marshes. You will enjoy the peace and quiet.
