Bergeijk, Venbergen, Sengelsbroek

Near the Belgian border lies the Kempenish municipality of Bergeijk. The surroundings of this municipality are surprisingly beautiful and historical; all the more reason to discover it by bike!

During this cycle route you will pass two nature gates where you can enjoy silence, beautiful viewpoints and special animals. In the Malpie, for example, there is a bat shelter with a large diversity of bats and outside you can spot several kinds of woodpeckers. Where the heather stops and the deciduous trees meet you, the Leenderbos starts. This used to be a production forest and wood was cut for the mining industry, but slowly it is changing into a natural deciduous forest.
