Cycle route Highlights around Tilburg
Tilburg, Loon op Zand, Kaatsheuve
Tilburg is a bustling city that flourished due to its textile industry. That may not make it the prettiest city in North Brabant, but it is certainly the most fun and sociable! The city has a lot to offer in terms of art and culture. Take a good look around on your way: there are all kinds of murals, artworks and museums to discover.
The Textile Museum is there not only for lovers of old industry, but also for lovers of textile art or design. Museum De Pont displays modern international visual arts in a former wool spinning mill. In Vincent's drawing room, part of the City Museum, you can see where Vincent van Gogh was taught and also discover your own talent for drawing. Still feeling a bit homesick for nature in the middle of the city? Then visit the Nature Museum opposite the railway station. A museum with interactive nature exhibitions for all ages.
For ‘real’ nature, it's just a matter of continuing your cycle route, out of town....
Back from nature? Also get off at the Spoorzone. This industrial spot, where trains used to be repaired, is now a hotspot where young, old, art and culture come together to enjoy the (burgundian) Brabant conviviality.
