Schijndel, Vossenberg, Heeswijk

The Wijboschbroek is a beautiful natural area north of Schijndel. The nature reserve is 150 hectares in size and consists of typical landscape due to the wet and swampy soil. In the past the area was mainly used to graze cattle and in the course of time parts of the area were drained.

Poplars were planted, pastures created and conifers placed. The diverse and nutrient-rich soil allows unique plants to grow and special animals to live there. Therefore, don't forget to spot the rare plants when they bloom in March and April, such as the Wood Sage, Wood anemone and Slender primrose. Also look among the plants and up in the trees to spot rare insects and birds.
