Den Helder, Egmond aan Zee

See which way the wind blows and get into the saddle for a beautiful cycle tour through North Holland! You will cycle from one special lighthouse to the next: Lange Jaap near Den Helder and the J.C.J. van Speyktoren in Egmond aan Zee. From the dunes you have a view of the North Sea and the beaches. There is even more to enjoy along the way: you will cycle past a castle, a windmill, an estate and a fort.

You will also cycle through the beautiful Noordhollands Duinreservaat, which stretches from Wijk aan Zee to Schoorl. It is managed by the drinking water company PWN and consists of dunes, forests and lakes. You can cycle on the paved paths, but not on the unpaved paths until 10:30 or not at all. Check the signs along the way and the access rules on the PWN website. You also need to have a dune card for access to the dune reserve.
