Vianen, Nieuwegein, IJsselstein

Cycle around the Lek, cross it twice with the two bicycle ferries and discover both sides of the river. You will enjoy the peace and nature in the floodplains of the Lek and the Hollandse IJssel. You also cycle through the Zouweboezem, a unique piece of nature that once served as storage for excess polder water, but is now a lush paradise for marsh birds.

In between the beautiful countryside, the surprising towns of Vianen, Lexmond, Ameide and IJsselstein await you. Visit the historical sights, such as the Great Church and several windmills, or settle down on a cosy terrace.

Along the way, you will pass fun regional museums, where each visit will teach you more about the area. Museum Warsenhoeck in Nieuwegein, Museumwerf Vreeswijk, Museum IJsselstein, Museum Lopikerkapel and the City Museum in Vianen are well worth a visit!
