Cycle route along the IJssel and the Eastern Veluwe

The Veluwe stretches east along the IJssel, which at 127 kilometres is one of the longest rivers in the Netherlands. This cycle route therefore lets you enjoy varied landscapes. You will pass through forests, along farmland and cycle across the river forelands. From here, you will have fantastic views of the Deventer skyline.
Take a rest at recreation area Bussloo, known for its wellness centre. But even without the sauna, the lakeside beaches and sunbathing meadows are great for relaxing. Along the way, you will discover the East Veluwe villages of Wilp and Twello. The latter has a surprisingly beautiful town centre that is worth getting off!
