Cycle route along land, sea and museums
Broek op Langedijk, Bergen aan Zee, Alkmaar
Broek op Langedijk is especially known for the cultivation of white cabbage and the auction, which has now been converted into an auction museum. What makes it so special is that it is a barge auction. Cabbage boats sail through the auction. The sea is at Bergen aan Zee, what more does a person need?
In the Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar, you will discover old painting, but you can also view toy and silver collections here. This is not the only museum you can visit in Alkmaar, also the Hollands Kaasmuseum and the Biermuseum can be found here. In the Beatles Museum, you can learn more about the songs 'Let it be' and 'I me mine'. This is a beautiful route for both museum and nature lovers.
This cycle route will take you through the Noordhollands Duinreservaat, a nature reserve where cycling on the paved paths is allowed. Cycling on the unpaved paths is allowed from sunrise to 10:30 am, unless otherwise indicated on the signs. See the signs along the way for more information or the PWN walking and cycling map.
