The Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum have been an iconic venue for music production since 1978, tucked away in the beautiful forests of the Netherlands' media centre. Originally founded by Philips and the record label PolyGram, this recording location grew into a creative home for both national and international artists. Famous Dutch acts such as Golden Earring, BZN and André Hazes recorded legendary albums here, while world stars such as Elton John, The Police, David Bowie and U2 also used the unique facilities.
After a major renovation in 2010, Wisseloord Studios are fully equipped with modern recording and mixing technology, while retaining the historic charm of the spaces. In addition to studios with state-of-the-art acoustics and equipment, the complex now offers the Wisseloord Academy, where emerging musicians and professionals can further develop their talent through workshops and courses. With this combination of rich history and leading innovation, Wisseloord Studios continues to play a central role in the music industry, where new music history is being made.
