Windmill of Sloten - Amsterdam
The Molen van Sloten is a still functioning polder mill with a screw pump and is also the only mill in Amsterdam that is open to the public. The mill is located on the edge of the city, near the Ringvaart canal, and ensures that the water level in the lower-lying area remains below a certain level. It is a tower mill with a rebuilt octagon dating from 1846.
The mill is open for tours daily from 10 am, the last one at 4 pm.
