Wind farm Hellegatsplein - Ooltgensplaat
Greenchoice is co-responsible for creating a flex square for mobile battery containers. A great sustainable initiative and at the same time a special sight to see! The plaza has room for ten mobile batteries. These are directly connected to the national electricity grid and powered by the four wind turbines present. The ultimate goal of this project is to make fossil fuels in power plants obsolete.
There are also catering facilities at the park. You can easily recognise it by the name ‘the Banana’. Use this Pit stop to recharge yourself too and enjoy something to eat and drink at the catering facilities present. Got enough energy again? Quickly get on your bike and enjoy the rest of the cycle route.
