Weltevreden Mill - Domburg
At the end of the 1960s, Weltevreden mill was very neglected. Owner, mr. C.M. van Leeuwen from Esch in Brabant, then wanted to convert the mill into a house. This plan fell through, after which the municipality bought the mill in 1970 and had it thoroughly restored three years later. Grain is still regularly milled according to traditional methods. Since the municipal reorganization on January 1st, 1998, the mill has been owned by the municipality of Veere.
