Watertaxi IJmuiden - IJmuiden
With the Watertaxi IJmuiden, you have a fast crossing from Velsen to IJmuiden. The IJmuidense Rondvaart Maatschappij sails the North Sea Canal with the boat 'Koningin Emma' from April to early October. There is room for 100 passengers and the boat has a cosy ship's bar, heating, a sun deck and toilets. The water taxi is also accessible for the disabled.
There are three embarkation/disembarkation stops:
- Sluisplein
- Noordpier
- Sea lock
Sailings take place four times a day between 10:00 (Sluisplein stop) and 17:43 (Zeesluis stop). For the complete sailing schedule for each stop, check the website.
Reservations must be made up to 2 hours before departure. Tickets can be booked by phone, e-mail or via the online ticket shop on the website.
