The VVV Tourist Information Centre Warmond is located at the Gemeentehaven in the former ‘gas boiler building’. This was once the site of a large metal gas holder that received gas from the Leiden gasworks. With the advent of the natural gas network in the 1950s, this gas holder was no longer used. This little building also used to serve as a ‘morgue’ for the drowned.
Moreover, you can park here easily and for free, making it the perfect starting and finishing point for your cycle route!
