Meeting centre DePetrus has been home to the Vughts Museum since 2018. There is a permanent exhibition, which is supplemented annually by changing exhibitions on the history of Vught, Cromvoirt and Helvoirt. But art is also featured in the museum.
An impressive part of local history, is the memory of Camp Vught. In the museum you can see more World War II hardships, such as a monument in the form of a stained-glass window commemorating the bunker drama in the concentration camp, designed by Marius de Leeuw. In this, 74 women were locked in one cell, without ventilation, for 14 hours. Ten women did not survive the drama.
You can visit the museum for free, a voluntary contribution is appreciated.
