With its 4,000 hectares, the Alde Feanen National Park is one of the largest wetlands in Western Europe. And that in the middle of Friesland! In the beautiful peat bog you will encounter about 450 species of plants and more than 100 species of birds. Even the white-tailed eagle has its breeding ground here. Get off your bike here to take a beautiful walk or boat ride along capholes, reed lands, bushes, thickets and swamp forests. Enjoy the beautiful varied landscape, the birds and the peace.
Note: Opening hours apply for 20 July to 1 September, during the Autumn Holiday region North and the Christmas Holiday. Other opening hours apply or are closed in other months. Check the website for current times.
