With the help of family and friends, the first vines were planted in 2005. Since then, the vineyard has grown into a 6-hectare field with over 22,000 vines. Nature is close at hand here: the vineyard borders nature reserve 't Broek and the Chaam stream system.
Thirteen different grape varieties are grown, including the white grape varieties Solaris, Souvignier gris, Muscaris and Johanniter. Blue grapes are also found in the vineyard, such as Rondo, Cabernet Cortis, Baron and Monarch.
The grapes are grown organically and are therefore completely pure nature. By planting the right plants, herbs and grasses in the right places, Dassemus contributes to healthy soil, greater biodiversity and keeps viticulture naturally optimised.
The constructed water pools improve the water balance of the vineyard and are home to that amphibians such as frogs and various birds. Moreover, all these natural additions make the vineyard look beautiful!
Stop by and experience this gem with your own eyes. The shop is open daily for wine sales. If you want to visit the vineyard, it is best to call in advance to make sure someone is there!
