At Van Goghplein, behind the Van GoghHuis, there is an extraordinary work of art. It was unveiled by Queen Juliana in 1964 and was created by Ossip Zadkine. It depicts Vincent with his brother Theo. They are intimately entwined. Should you wonder: who is Vincent now? Then the answer is: neither of them. The creator of the artwork never meant to say this. The sculpture merely depicts their inseparable connection.
At the audio column, listen to the story of Vincent van Gogh's childhood. You will also find an audio column a little further on at the Dutch Reformed Church.
