In the hamlet 'Ghinder Door' near Chaam, there is a beautiful early 18th century longhouse. The former stables have been converted into the Pimpelmeesch brewery. The village brewery is not named after the bird, but is a combination of two words in the Brabant dialect: 'pimpelen' means to drink and 'meesch' is Brabant dialect for human. That is why the logo of Dorpsbrouwerij de Pimpelmeesch symbolises the happy, drinking person. The brewery can be visited by appointment only, but you can also taste the beer at your neighbour's house!
