Village Bergambacht - Bergambacht
The name Bergambacht comes from Mr. Van den Berg, who owned this craft (a legal district). The mountain is also the hill or dark (river dune), on which the Sint Laurentius church was built. The carillon can be found in the tower. The spelt has 51 bells of which the heaviest weighs 385 kg. The carillonneur of Bergambacht, Boudewijn Zwart, plays the instrument every Thursday from 11:30 to 12:00. Don't forget to take a look at the Hoofdstraat. Here you can still shop like in the past: traditional products are sold by craftsmen
