Verdronken Zwarte Polder (Drowned Black polder) - Nieuwvliet

N 51.385733 / E 3.438516

In 1802 the Black Polder, built in 1623, flooded. After that time it was called the Drowned Black polder. Part of it was reclaimed, which is now the adjacent Herdijkte Black Polder, now also a nature reserve. This varied area, with beach, dune and thicket, is a habitat for many bird and plant species.
