On the square in front of the former Church of Peace in Venray, there are 17 concrete columns, a tower of 4 columns with bells and a tombstone and 6 memorial plaques made of marble. Together, these elements form the Peace Monument in Venray in memory of the Second World War victims. On the pillars, you can read the names of cities battered by the war. You can also read other texts on the various pillars and plates in Dutch, English, and German. A fascinating place to pause, forgive, and reconcile.
