The Vasserheide is a 26-hectare nature reserve in Twente, located near the village of Vasse in Overijssel. The area consists of dry heathland, forests and an archaeologically rich landscape, including several prehistoric burial mounds dating from 4000 to 2500 BC. These burial mounds are part of the Vassergrafveld, a protected national monument. There are also traces of Celtic fields, ancient fields from the Iron Age. Management, carried out by Landschap Overijssel, focuses on preserving the heath vegetation and keeping archaeological structures clear.
