Vincent's father pastored this church from August 1882 to 26 March 1885. The church was built in 1824 and inaugurated in 1826. In 1928 the consistory room was added. In the church, the baptismal font, the copper lectern of the current pulpit, a part of the Last Supper silver and a Bible are still present.
Vincent wrote to his brother Theo on 3 February 1884 that he had made a painting of the church for his mother. She had recently broken her upper leg and had to stay at home in bed. She had gone to Helmond by train in mid-January 1884 and had an unfortunate fall when she got off the train. Admission to the church is free.
