TOP Berkel Palace - Borculo
Shipping across the Berkel used to be of great importance. Land roads were often poor, so transport by water was a good alternative. Colonial goods went to Germany, on the way back taking wood, pottery and lime.
Borculo is the home port of the Berkelzomp, a reconstructed barge that used to transport those goods but which you can now use to sail over the Berkel.
