Tide boxes Wemeldinge - Wemeldinge
Four tide basins have been installed off the coast of Wemeldinge. At high tide, the rich marine life of the Eastern Scheldt flows into the tanks. At low tide, you can reach the tide basins with dry feet and view the animals and plants left behind in the basins. Look for crabs, shrimps, oysters and seaweed.
The concrete tanks are placed for educational purposes. Bring a bucket or a landing net to get a good look at your catch. Also fun to visit with children.
The tide basins can only be visited at low tide. Check the tide table in advance.
