The Plompe Tower is the last remnant of the village of Koudekerke, which disappeared in the waves at the end of the 16th century. The restored tower is now an information centre about the history, legends and nature of the region. The tower offers a wide view over the surrounding nature reserve, where many waders and other water birds can be seen. Natuurmonumenten has set up an information centre in the Plompe tower. Accessible daily and highly recommended! From the tower you have a beautiful view of the Koudekersche Inlagen and the Oosterschelde. Located east of Burgh-Haamstede along the Oosterschelde. The information centre is unstaffed and is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm all year round.
