The Park - Rotterdam

This unique park between Rotterdam city centre and the Euromast is an official national monument and was designed in 1852 by the same designer who designed the Vondelpark. It features a large number of monumental trees, water features, small bridges, a viewing hill and a sailors' church. It is the place where Rotterdammers gather when the first rays of sunlight show up to enjoy the peace and quiet of the big busy city.

There is even a barbecue area where you can have a nice picnic. You leave the hot coals in the metal containers provided. So don't forget to bring a disposable barbecue to interrupt your bike ride for a city picnic.
