The current building of Dorpsherberg De Roskam was built in 1855 after the old building, which dates back to the sixteenth century, burned down completely. The inn near the church in Nunspeet already existed in 1551 and has actually been called De Roskam since 1785. It is the oldest hospitality venue in Nunspeet and, besides being an inn and café, was also a meeting place, an auction house and a plaza for travellers.
