The Old Council House in Oud-Beijerland was built in 1622 and was then called the Dorpshuis over de Vliet (Village Hall). From here, the sheriff and aldermen administered and the court passed judgement. Until 1977, Oude Raadhuis was used by the Oud-Beijerland town council.
The building has rightly been designated a National Monument and is certainly worth a visit.
