Close to the Ede-Wageningen railway station, you will find the Keet mill in Ede. The beard bears the year 1750, but this does not seem to be the correct year of construction. Originally, this mill arose as a wooden stage mill in the years 1858-1860, by order of the Van de Craats family. Unfortunately, the mill burned down as early as 1865. It was then rebuilt from stone and given a new bell that adorns the substructure.
During World War II, the mill served as a shelter for eight British soldiers after the Battle of Arnhem in 1944. After a period of inactivity in the 1950s, the mill became the property of the municipality of Ede in 1971. Thanks to a restoration in 1978, the Keetmolen runs regularly again, supervised by miller Nico Vos, with help from apprentice millers and miller Noes Teutelink. They are happy to share their knowledge with visitors.
