At this spot you can see Kingdom border post 176 and a Barony post. The latter can be recognised as the concrete square post with the inscription 'Baronie van Hees en Leen' on one side and 'Baronie van Cranendonck' on the other.
So two posts, which immediately explains the name 'Den Dubbele Paol' (The Double Pole).
This border crossing is also a well-known spot for illegal trade. This point used to be called 'Aan de Kattenput' (At the Cat Pit).
