Number 10, 11 and 12 on the Vooreiland together form The Crooked House (Het Scheve Huis). The facades of these buildings are purposefully built slightly sloping forward. These facades and the seventeenth-century stepped gables provide the Renaissance style. Have you already spotted the five special facing bricks? Two of these show sailing ships, and the other facing bricks show 'hope' or 'wisdom' and 'faith' and 'temperance'.
'Facades on the run', that's what these facades leaning forward are called. They seem to have subsided, but this is not the case. It is how it should be!
