In an old warehouse "Koophandel" on the canals of Leeuwarden, a special museum is located, where passions and stories take centre stage. Around the oldtimer collection, travel and rally stories are told. In this museum, the first electric car can be admired with its charging station. It is the "Baker electric" from 1907. In total there are more than 30 pre-war old-timers to admire. The museum contains a spectacular large railway track.
Music sounds from old radios and there is a large collection of meccano. You will also discover the life story of Mata Hari in this special museum. In the textile department, the permanent exhibition "Lace tour through Europe" introduces you to lace and beautiful samplers and samplers. The most beautiful 18th century lace, which Maria Louise of Hesse-Kassel also wore on her clothes, can be seen in a period room. There are changing exhibitions, please check the website.
