Summer workshop 'De Noodschuur - Ewijk
On the dike of Ewijk you will find an authentic dike warehouse, a public shed that served to store dike materials. In case of flooding, dykes could be quickly reinforced or repaired because the materials were already at hand.
This beautiful little building, called The Emergency Barn, is a national monument and today serves as a summer workshop. During the months from May to September, artists of the local Paulus Guild exhibit here on Saturdays and Sundays. Exhibitors on the ground floor change weekly, while on the upper floor you will find a permanent collection of artworks.
