Simavis Carp Lake - Eesterga

In the Frisian town of Eesterga lies a dream location for carp anglers: carp lake Simavis. This 12-hectare lake was created from sand extraction for the construction of the A6 motorway in the 1970s. Varying depths and a rich, carefully constructed fish stock offer the ultimate challenge. There are nearly 500 carp swimming there, including mirror, scaled and grass carp, some weighing over 50 pounds!

The seven spacious fishing spots are fully equipped. From power points and sanitary facilities to freshly baked rolls in the morning, comfort and adventure go hand in hand here. You can come with your own equipment or rent a fishing boat with fishfinder on site.
