The Sheepfold Sint Anthonis is located in the beautiful forests of North Brabant. The Sheep Foundation takes care of the sheepfold and wants to keep the old traditions alive. The sheep are used to maintain the natural environment. By grazing, the animals keep the heathland open and help rare plants and animals to thrive.
The sheepfold is mainly home to Drenthe and Kempische heideschapen (heath sheep). These breeds are well adapted to the poor soil in the area. In addition to sheep, Scottish Highlanders also graze on the heathland.
The foundation organises fun and educational activities such as guided tours, school visits and lamb days. You can learn all kinds of things about the sheep, nature and the work of the shepherd. There are also volunteer days where you can help out. Thanks to the help of volunteers and donations, the sheepfold remains a special place for anyone who loves animals and nature.
